Concert to Benefit Nurse and Mother with Cancer
Sunday October 19, 2008
At The Park Plaza Hotel,
Café Artemis and Taco Del Sol
2P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
The Lost & Foundation will hold a fund-raising concert on Sunday, October 19, at the Park Plaza Hotel, Café Artemis, The Quarry Lounge and Taco del Sol from 2 to 9 p.m. Proceeds of the concert will go to Corey Bartle and her family.
Corey is a nurse and mother who had a baby girl this summer. During her pregnancy, she was diagnosed with cancer. The disease resulted in the early birth of the baby. The cancer is extensive, affecting her lungs, brain, lymph system, and spine.
Corey is undergoing aggressive treatment for the cancer. Meanwhile, she's unable to work at her job with St. Peter's Homelink. Her family's health insurance is tenuous, at best, due to extended leave and the need for family care. In addition, out-of-pocket expenses, household costs, and loss of income will keep piling up.
Several area merchants have generously given prizes for drawings and raffles. In addition, 50-50 drawings and other events will help raise funds. The festivities will include a variety of fun children's activities.
The event will span two stages at the Park Plaza – one in the ballroom and one in The Quarry Lounge. In addition, Taco del Sol will host a stage of acoustic sets. Eighteen musical acts are donating their time and talents to help the Bartle family.
The Lost & Foundation benefit for Corey Bartle starts at 2:00 in the afternoon, Sunday Oct. 19 at the Park Plaza Hotel, Café Artemis/Quarry Lounge and at Taco Del Sol downtown Helena. Call 442-5002 to donate or you can mail donations to Lost & Foundation, 517 Knight St. Helena, MT 59601
